The pedagogy
The unique thing about ALFA is that we work with life skills training for the future, where we build a basic security for our children and students.
Life skills, or, ARTUR as it is called at school, provides students with simple tools needed to create major changes in the build-up of students’ / children’s self-esteem and self-image with small resources and with little time.
ARTUR, helps to create and build up pupils’ / children’s self-confidence, social skills and their capacity for conflict management. All this provides students / children with invaluable tools for the future. As Pernilla and Annika say: Respect for oneself gives birth to respect for others. This way of working, going to the “core” and strengthening each student from within, gives more lasting results, where students no longer see differences as a threat but see the uniqueness of each person. Thus, the approach prevents different conflicts because conflicts arise as a result of poor self-esteem, and thus a poor inner security of individuals.
